Met up with the CO people yesterday.
I can't believe I actually missed Aaron. Haha. No la, he has always been a great guy, of course I miss him loads. :] He never fails to make me laugh with his cheapo-ness.
HRH of Cheapo-ness!
And we checked out Shokudo - Japanese Food Bazaar at Raffles City! It's a "Marche" concept food place and the place smelled awesome! Everything looked delicious, it was a damn pity I didn't have the money nor the stomach to finish everything. But I'm looking forward to eat at this place frequently. It's expensive I know, but everything smelled so wonderful. :]

I think Events Cell is too high.
And we don't even run on anything illegal.
More stuff tomorrow. Right now, I'm too tired.

I'm here blogging and not preparing for meeting Hester because, she AND her tutee overslept. So her tuition slot got pushed back, which is going to end an hour later from our initial meeting time. Tutee and tutor overslept. What a pair. -_-
Yesterday was goodie bag packing day! One of the most stressful event under Open House. Yet, it was VERY well done and we got the approval nod from the people up on Nanyang Hill. Haha. 10,000 bags were packed within a few hours!! Gosh. What can I say? Good teamwork and packing system. Kudos to our Logistics Heads! Though one can argue that the items are small and easily packed, but people can always SOMEHOW find a way to slack. So we really had to give credit to the people who are willing to come down and get this over and done with. :]
It was pretty funny when the VPs came back from their meeting with OAFA. Alan had wanted to come back quickly so he could help with the packing but to their surprise, everyone was putting away the last of the bundles of 10 at the side or clearing away the rubbish when they came back. Haha. If any guilt of not helping to pack surface, I hope they'll squash it away since they had logged hours in meetings with the office people. Haha, I think that's a tougher job than packing.
Later, most of the committee who had come down for the packing went to Pizza Hut for lunch! 15 people enjoying a good lunch after a hard day's work, a little reminiscent of those days back in SACO. :]
And then prior to goodie bag packing, Events Cell went for a 8-hour KTV marathon. And a marathon it is. Gosh, we never stopped once in the 8 hours we were given. It was one song after the other. From rock (Mayday) to ballads (Jordan Chen) to oldies (xin bu liao qing) to current pop (ren yi men), I think everyone had a hell of a time. Hui Ting even lost her voice to Mayday's songs. Haha. But I think she's perfectly willing to sacrifice it to them. (sound so wrong! lol) We get to know new songs and old songs that were classics but were forgotten. So fun. Even got scolded for not being supposed to stand on the sofas. Haha. Killed the mood some 'cause we were supposed to sing some super high song at that time. Then ZI YUE! Haha. I'm so surprised there are people who still remembered it! The real star of the night, however, is EUNICE! Goodness, she has a wonderful voice! She should really join some talent time. I think she'll win without any considerations from the judges. Haha. Oh so cool!
I'll miss Events Cell. That's for sure. But who say we can't meet up huh? We are all still in the same school anyway what! :]

I finally have a new phone! After nearly 4 years, when my first 3310 drowned in a pool of collected rainwater and 7250i saved my non-contactable days subsequently, I've gotten myself a sparkling brand new 6500S. It's a pretty neat gadget, sleek and BLACK. :] So far so good. I like it though it was a prolly a second choice when the phone I wanted to get desperately went "discontinued".

Photo functions are not bad, though admittedly, they may not be on par with Samsung's and Sony Ericsson's. I don't really care since I never did like Samsung. Haha. Too much bad record from other's I guess. I know it's pretty and such, Nokia has been quite reliable for me thus far. We'll see how after 2 years time. Anyway, Chingay came to Bishan-Toa Payoh area. It was a "star-studded" affair from the looks of the crowd. Everyone was waiting outside along the corridors of their blocks or on the sides of the road to catch a free glimpse of the massive floats. They were small by comparison if you are talking about the whole parade, but I doubt the roads are able to accommodate the real fancy ones.
Nice. Hope they will bring the floats here every year haha.

I've a bazillion readings to do. I seriously hate semester 2. :( *pouts*
I think I've to cancel with Bel for "L changes the world".
Open House is coming up real quickly and the performances still can't get settled. Rarh. Inefficiencies. Make our poor liaison officer chasing after them so tiredly. Hope everything will turn out nicely for everyone though.
Aiyes.

Yes I've been watching movies for the past few days.
BUT this one has been on my MUST-WATCH LIST for YEARS! (It came out in 1998 - 10 years ago!!!)
I knew I'll like it. :] And I did. Brad Pitt was oh so young - he was already 35 in '98. He's 45 this year. Gosh.
I should go study for my HP201 test. No more movies till after that.

I gathered it's the author who is damn good at his craft. Mystic River - another show adapted from a book by the same author who wrote "Gone Baby Gone". Another fantastic show.
I'm clearing my movies backlog. One day at a time. What joy. :] Seriously, it's some kind of masochistic behaviour I feel. I torture myself as the clips load whilst trying to do some studying. Then when I spend time watching them, I'm filled with guilt for not doing things which I'm supposed to do. Yet on the other hand, I really couldn't care less. Haha.
There's still the anime backlog but then, I couldn't find anymore nice animes to watch already. It's a waning interest now. I'm only waiting for Itazurana Kiss anime to come out from Japan. April!! I hope it airs after my exams. This manga is a phenomenon. It has spawned a Jdorama, 2 TW dramas and now, an anime. Gosh, I wonder how would the mangaka feels if she knows what adoration the fans have given to her work.
Manga interest is slowly waning, though I'm pretty sure the flame is still rather strong for the moment. But I can't say much for animes though. Sadded.
Hope roomie gets well soon! Die virus die!!

I've just finished watching Ben Affleck's Gone Baby Gone.
It's fantastic.
It's gripping and full of moral fallacies that it makes you wonder what you would do if you were Patrick. The black, the white and the grey. And the courage to take consequences of your decisions, I guess, is what are the characters have, most of all, in Patrick.
Something sorely lacking in our world now?
The means to the end. Do they really justify the results?
That's tough.
I love this kind of movies. Anyone can recommend more? Thanks! :]

We had a Foo family gathering today and he was the star. Supposedly actually. Because he slept when he arrived at Sakae. Then my mom and aunt had to wake him up just so we could be entertained. bleh. Although we were vehemently against the idea, my aunt still managed to wake him up. -_- so what happens when something comes between a man and his sleep? Grumpiness of course. He woke up with a
BAD mood. No more cheery and smiley Hao Hao. Only got that photo because he was placated with biscuits. England biscuits okay? Haha.
Aw, such a darling. He's not even 3 and he can complete full sentences already.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Tan Xing Hao! *carries on with a song*" Baby voice with English accent. How bloody cute. :] I've got videos of him and it can last me till November when he comes back for good to Singapore.
I wonder how much of the English accent he can retain. Lols.
I forgot how much we click before today. Makes me a little sad when I remembered some words told to me.

Just when I thought he has left for good, he came barging right into my neat little life. As though he has never disappeared from my radar before.
Maybe he's just trying to establish contacts with people, after all he did seem to have cut all contacts.
Not that I have been worried why he has chosen to lose contact with me but even with other people? And now he suddenly popped back out with a "Hello, are you there?". Me?
We were in the same schools for 10 years, classmates for 5. And a few things more.
Maybe Keni talked to him about me some.
If you are reading this, then yeah I don't know what to make out of your sudden appearance. Haha. It's prolly just nothing I guess. I tend to put everything out of contexts anyway.

Caught Sweeney Todd today!
As usual, Johnny Depp was fan-fucking-tastic! I love his British accent too, reminded me of Captain Jack Sparrow. I assume Jack is a Brit since Elizabeth and etc are all Brits. Hahhaa. The movie was pretty gory for a Chinese New Year movie haha. Think it spooked us girls much. Even the guys were a little squeamish about it. Too much blood spraying around, killing people was too easily done and best of all, Sweeney was singing while slashing the life out of those misters. Wonder what they had done wrong to deserve such treatment. I mean, he was out for revenge for the Judge what. How have these people done wrong to him? Sad. ): And the worst thing, he killed his wife - though he didn't know it's her as she went "barking mad" as they said and he almost killed his daughter, his one and only living family. The sole person he was so fervently trying to get a glance and get a hug from. But I think from what she had witnessed, I don't think she would ever acknowledged him as father.
Revenge just brings you nowhere.
Well, all in all, it was a an entertaining film though it was just a tad gory. At some point, the blood looked so fake that I was more amused than spooked. But the first and last slashing were horrid. The songs were nice and meaningful.
Sweeney Todd is good though I won't really recommend you to watch it during this festive period hahaha.
And since it's 10 minutes away from Chinese New Year, here wishing you a great New Year!!! It's the Rat's year once again! My brother is getting old. Lols.

I went to the library today!
Oh after such a looooooooooooooong while. Books and more books! For a moment I'd wished to get my account upgraded to the premium one, just so I can borrow 8 books at one go. I know I couldn't finish them all, with all my readings yet undone. But what the heck, books make me happy! I saw "The Kite Runner", a Jodi Picoult book, and a couple more looks good titles. But sadly I've already got 4 big books on my hand. =[
I'm a true-blue bookworm and proud of it!
And I found a new series that's a little like Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series. Just that the girl is a little less frivolous than Becky Brandon. Caught a glimpse at her character and the author's writing. Looks good~ I'm so all set for CNY since I can't do any visiting. ('Cause my grandmother hadn't passed away for a year. So no celebrations to be done.)
Oh books. This trip was a good reminder why I love libraries so much.

100th anniversary on Saturday! We had tons of fun - taking photos that is. Dinner was nice too! It was so much like prom, just that this was more fun than prom. Haha. Maybe it's 'cause we have friends who are more than 12 years old. SO LOOOOOOONG. It's rather refreshing to see everyone dressed up so nice once in a while. Let's just let the photos do the work. (Oh make up made me look more awake, so said my friend. Lols. I guess it does that for everyone.)

Today lala made us laughed like mad today. Because we corrected her hanyu pinyin of 暖 (nuan) - she thought it was "luan", she thought we bluffed her. It went something like that:
Qun: It's actually "nuan" you know. "Wen Nuan".
Lala: *frowned as she tried the pronounciation* "nuan... BLUFF!" (she seriously thought we were bluffing her. hahhaha.)
Qun and me: O_O
Haha. Eased off the tension for the upcoming test which was alright la. Oh well, shan't think too much about it.
Announcement of INSTEP result just got deferred. Damn it. Mid-February. Another long wait. Sians.
